Mother-son duo, Laura and Taylor, have been a special team since day 1. ❤️ As a mother, Laura endured the trials of raising a child with illnesses, all while dealing with celiac disease and food restrictions of her own. This didn't stop her from creating gluten-free recipes that they both could enjoy, let alone a business that could help people just like her.
As Taylor grew up with his illnesses, he decided to turn his adversities into tools to help people who struggled to eat gluten-free. What started as a gluten-free blog turned into a business that focused on sharing the best gluten-free, vegan, and allergy free products out there.
In 2018, Laura and Taylor combined their efforts to fill a much needed void in Tampa...the first ever gluten-free, vegan, and allergy friendly bakery in the Tampa Bay area. While they both loved cooking and baking, they needed a littleee extra help from a professional.
In comes Jackie, head pastry chef of HaleLife Bakery. After going to school to become a pastry chef, Jackie tragically endured a car accident that left her unable to work in a normal food setting. Reddened with a severe gluten-intolerance, her passion quickly shifted from baking "normal" foods to baking foods that (she) and everyone could eat.
Jackie is responsible for creating EVERY single recipe on the HaleLife Bakery menu. Her passion allows her to work on making every cupcake, donut, and baked good as close to the real thing as possible. Whenever you eat one of our amazing items you can thank Jackie for being the wonderful, hard-working person that she is to help you enjoy those foods again 😊
Our founders, along with every member of our bakery team, have put so much time, energy, and care into creating the bakery that Tampa Bay loves. We get how hard it is to live a life with dietary restrictions and we're here to make it easier. We hope to see you in one of our locations sometime soon!
