Jackie Miller - Pastry Chef & Co-Founder
Mother-son duo, Laura and Taylor, have been a special team since day one. ❤️ As a mother, Laura endured the trials of raising a child with illnesses, all while dealing with celiac disease and food restrictions of her own. This didn't stop her from creating gluten-free recipes that they both could enjoy, let alone a business that could help people just like her.
As Taylor grew up with his illnesses, he decided to turn his adversities into tools to help people who struggled to eat gluten-free. What started as a gluten-free blog turned into a business that focused on sharing the best gluten-free, vegan, and allergy free products out there.
In 2018, Laura and Taylor combined their efforts to fill a much needed void in Tampa...the first ever gluten-free, vegan, and allergy friendly bakery in the Tampa Bay area. While they both loved cooking and baking, they needed a little extra help from a professional.
In comes Jackie, executive chef & co-founder of HaleLife Bakery. While in school to become a pastry chef, Jackie started a long food journey to discover she had several food allergies. With celiac disease being a genetic factor in her family, she went down the path of going gluten free and learning to shift her career in that direction. Her passion quickly shifted from baking "normal" foods to a whole new world of baking allergen free. Everything she has created has been self taught from scratch.
Jackie is responsible for creating EVERY single recipe on the HaleLife Menu. She spends a lot of time working on recipes to get them the right texture and consistency, like the food you miss eating. Whenever you eat one of these amazing items you can thank Jackie for dedicating the time to making these recipes the way they should be - delicious & just right 😊
Our founders, along with every member of our bakery team, have put so much time, energy, and care into creating the bakery that Tampa Bay loves. We get how hard it is to live a life with dietary restrictions and we're here to make it easier. We hope to see you in one of our locations sometime soon!
